Wine aficionados will want to make note that one of the most important and largest wine expos in the world, Vinitaly, will be taking place from April 3 to 7. For 42 years the event has been held in Verona, and this year 4,200 exhibitors will take part in an event that is a must visit for those in the wine world. Read more »

The 85th annual Opera Festival begins at Verona’s Arena on June 22. The Arena was built in 30 AD and held up the 30,000 spectators, who came to view the ludii (shows and games) which were performed there. The Arena has been in continuous use from the fall of the Roman Empire, playing host to executions, jousts, and horse races. Read more »
