Our seminar will focus on a wide range of topics: from the current art market and art economics to aesthetic trends and debates. The conversation may veer towards the role of auction houses and art fairs, or perhaps towards curating and the relationship between artists, dealers, museums/galleries, and the public.
The Marais is a wonderful place to stroll in the evening, and the ambiance of walking through this sublime quarter at dusk is part of the experience of this walk. We will sometimes enjoy a glass of wine or champagne in one of galleries, and the atmosphere is one of conversation and questions. Contemporary art is, after all, highly "questionable" for many, and so the spirit of inquiry is very much a part of what we do.
