About the Young Chefs in Paris Walk in Paris
One of the most exciting cultural facets of France is certainly its cuisine. Introducing children to French gastronomy can be a daunting task. Our 2.5 hour hands-on cooking class for families, is the great way to open young palates to the fascinating world of French food and culinary specialties. We provide two options for this exploration, adapted to clients staying in a hotel or those staying in a Parisian apartment, both in the company of one of our chefs.
Young chefs staying in hotels can be welcomed at our delicious 'dessert' laboratory a well-known savory and sweet tart restaurant located in the heart of the Marais as a mid-afternoon snack or - gouté. Fitting up our little chefs with the appropriate gear, into the kitchen they will go, where they will learn step by step at how to create a delicious tarts or another seasonal dessert. Of course at the end of our hard work, we will sit down to sample our tasty treats.

Children staying in an apartment can enjoy a market discovery and in-apartment cooking class. Taking place in the morning, our first stop will be a local Parisian market, where our young chefs will be given the task of searching out a list of selected ingredients needed to prepare a light seasonal lunch for the whole family. Depending on the season and always with a focus on fresh produce, recipes can go from a Nicoise salad to a savory cake, stuffed vegetables, carpaccios of meat or fish. As we stroll the vibrant aisles, we discover the colors and smells of the market traditional delicacies and learn about French culinary customs. Once we have found our necessary ingredients we will head back to the apartment which will become our food lab. Here we will sit down and assemble our dish of the day, according to the recipe. Upon completion, your docent will leave you to enjoy your creations. Bon appetit!
Note: Please note which option when booking. The dessert lesson is only available in the afternoon and the apartment class, only in the morning, however, if these times do not suit you, please enquire about other possibilities.
