The region of Normandy, a short distance from Paris, is full of wonderful sites to visit. We are happy to design a custom excursion to suit particular interests with our Normandy based docents and car service provider. The quaint port of Honfleur is certainly one of the most picturesque on the northern coast of France. A town dating back to at least the eleventh century, Honfleur was a strategic town during the Hundreds’ Year War. Soon after it became a key port for explorers, many embarking from her to explore the New World on behalf of France. In the nineteenth century, it became a favorite destination of impressionist painters, including Courbet and Monet. Our tour will include the port, the old town center and its famous wooden church.
