Annotated Lunch: Cuisine of the Veneto

This event, which takes place in the town of Padua - a short train ride from Venice, provides a delicious introduction to the cuisine of the Veneto region. Previous to the lunch portion of our outing, we will amble through the historic open-air market in Padua, discussing the importance of seasonal, fresh produce to Italian cuisine and ducking into the 13th century sotto salone to view the cheese shops and butchers located underneath.

The second portion of our walk will lead us to a nearby restaurant, where we have reserved a private dining room to enjoy a fixed lunch of local specialties. Our expert culinary docent will guide this multi-course annotated lunch of seasonal cuisine. The lunch will be accompanied by different wines specially selected to enhance the flavors and textures of the dishes. The cost of this walk does not include the price of lunch, which is a fixed price menu of €50, including wine. You will be responsible for paying your portion at the end of the meal.
