Deep, Engaging, Tailored: The Tour for Everyone in Your Party

Conversations, not umbrella tours

"Tim was great. Knowledgeable. Cheeky. Motivating. It was a wonderful tour. We could have talked for hours. This is the exact reason small groups are the best. One on one, non scripted information from a dedicated and knowledgeable professional. Thank you, Tim."

Experts, not guides

“William literally writes the book(s) on the D-Day memorials which led to an incredibly informative day tour. From age 77 to 11, we were all captivated by his knowledge and his ability to connect the dots.”

Tailored, not one-size fits all

“Fantastic way to learn or refresh your understanding of key aspects of the history of Britain... One of the great things about a Context private tour is your guide. You can tailor your experience to your group's individual interests. This was our third Context tour. We are 3 for 3 in terms of top shelf guides, each very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended!"

Dimo was PHENOMENAL. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. His depth of knowledge and passion for all that we saw and discussed were impossible to ignore. He’s set the bar extremely high for the rest of our five week trip through Italy, we could not have asked for a better way to start the entire trip. I’d highly recommend him in a heartbeat!
We have been to the British Museum many times. Andrew was able to make the exhibits come alive and helped us appreciate them in new and extraordinary ways.
While we enjoyed our tour and the guide is certainly very knowledgable and pleasant, we were a little underwhelmed. Starting with the Blue Mosque meant there was no chance to discuss how its architecture related to that of Hagia Sophia. We said we were interested in architectural history but at the Hagia Sophia she added little information on its form, beyond noting the names of the architects and the width and height of the dome. We didn't even get Justinian's famous line about surpassing Solomon! And instead of the Basilica Cisterns we thought we were visiting we were taken to a smaller one that was part of a rug store. You could feel the merchants' ire that we did not stay to peruse rugs. She was great on the Hippodrome and the mosaics at the Hagia Sophia.
