Train Tickets: Custom

Context can purchase tickets on most trains in Italy. As part of this service, tickets are either delivered to your hotel in Venice before your arrival or, for those staying in private apartments, e-tickets are available for an additional fee.

HOW THIS WORKS: Please use the "Special Request" box to tell us between which two cities/towns you are traveling and whether you want 1st class or 2nd class tickets. Also, please tell us if you prefer the fastest (Eurostar, for example) train or if taking a slower train to save money is a priority. A €5 train ticket item will be placed in your shopping cart in order to facilitate this request; however, you will not be charged until we communicate with you about the full charges and get your ok, by email.

FAQs:

  • The difference between 1st class and 2nd class is sometimes minimal. There is generally more leg-room in the former, and the cars are less crowded.
  • Eurostars are the fastest, most comfortable train in Italy. They usually travel between major cities. In some cases (Naples for example) there are only Intercity trains. These are also often quite good. (In the case of Naples, they are actually better.)

    At checkout you will be required to supply your hotel information. If you are staying at a hotel outside of central Rome, where our offices are located, you have the option of receiving an electronic ticket via email, which can be ordered for an added surcharge of 3 euro or, paper tickets can be delivered for an additional 13 euro to cover the courier service, which will be added to your order once it is submitted.

    Cancellation Policies

    We no longer are able to purchase tickets for clients within two weeks of any given date. All orders for tickets much be placed at least two weeks before the date of the train.

    Children 12-years old and younger have a 50% discount on Eurostar and Intercity trains. If you are traveling with children, please note this, as we will apply the proper discount when charging your order.
