Esther was very knowledgeable and catered the tour to our interests and abilities. We only expected to learn about chocolate on the tour, but after expressing our interest in history she took the time to explain the historical significance of several buildings and locations. Given some mobility issues, she also offered the use of her pass to take a subway to one of the more distant locations. After using several of the cruise line’s excursions we were glad we chose this private tour in Barcelona.
We had specifically requested Marie to guide us on this visit, after a wonderful multigenerational Louvre tour last year. Marie is friendly and knowledgeable. It is a pleasure to spend time with her. The museum was packed that day, especially the Impressionist galleries, as expected. Marie navigated us through the crowds, and had plenty to say about some of our favorite paintings. We only wish that there had been enough time to visit the post-Impressionist galleries as well. I also appreciated Marie explaining the characteristics of different art movements, in a way that made it possible for my kids to be able to recognize them in different works of art that we saw.
