Nikitas met us at our meeting spot without an issue and we we’re quickly on our way. Our first stop was a small café with wine tasting, and small bites where the waiter explained to us the wine and snack pairing while Nikitas explained to us different historical facts of Athens and wine in Greece. We walked more while he explained the different buildings, history, and shops in the area. The next food and wine pairing was with more traditional foods like anchovies, gigundas beans, sausage, potatoes and stuffed zucchini and white table wine. We then walked more learning about the architecture and history and finished up at this amazing family owned dessert spot. We had three excellent desserts and a digestif (mastika?) to wrap up the evening. He walked us back to meeting spot which was by our hotel and we said our goodbyes.
