Our docent Jason was so informative, really polite, helpful and a very good guide. We saw some very interesting parts of the Forbidden City away from the crowds which was great and we really appreciated the small group size. We had a wonderful time on the walk - thank you!
Very enthused and gave us great detail. Very enjoyable walk. The level of background knowledge was admirable on a wide range of cultural topics
Irene was excellent. She made a point of making sure that we could all hear her ( even my 79 yr old father) and shared a lot about the history of FC in a way that was interesting to all ages (children to seniors). The pace was perfect and she was very thoughtful - bought us cold water (as it was quite hot) and take a rest part way through . At the end of the tour, she helped the other clients find their restaurant and helped us get a taxi back to our hotel as my father was very tired and the taxis were not stopping. She even argued with the driver who was being difficult about taking us for a normal fare. Since we had also signed up for the Summer Palace tour that afternoon, we offered her to come to lunch and travel with us to SP (she even paid for our subway fare as we didn't have small bills). During our trip she learned that she had missed meeting another client at SP - we were late arriving. I want to let you know that it was an honest mistake on her part and we likely distracted her and contributed to the error. We are very sorry for the inconvenience to the other client but also wanted you to know how wonderful a docent (and simply as a person) Irene is - you are lucky to have her!
