We felt like having a guide take us through the maze of people, lines hallways and rooms of the Uffizi was essential to maximizing our experience there. And it proved to be so! Besides the impressive array of artwork, we were briefed on the history of the Uffizi buildings. But our guide, Christiane, was really knowledgeable about the history of the artwork as well as the artists. It was exciting to understand and piece together the story of the Uffizi Gallery and appreciate the famous paintings and learn of the stories they contain as well.
