Dan Hayes is a journalist, editor and travel writer. A Cambridge history graduate, he later completed an MSc at Birkbeck College, London. Having lived in the British capital for more than 25 years, he is fascinated by its past and the hidden stories that can be found around almost every corner if you know where to look. He regularly writes about aspects of London’s history and culture for magazines and websites. A former travel editor, he has also visited more than 40 countries, with recent assignments taking him to Iceland, Japan and Kazakhstan.

Dominic is an award winning London Blue Badge Tourist Guide (official guides of Britain). Born and raised in London, he got his first taste of the Tourism industry after graduating from university when he worked as a Host at the London Eye. He has more recently enjoyed bringing London’s past to life as a guide at the Tower of London and Museum of London where he became interested in the history of Britain's involvement in the Transatlantic Slave Trade which has become his main area of expertise. He also specialises in tours about the Black presence in Georgian London, Canary Wharf, the London Docklands and Brixton. Dominic enjoys telling a good story and helping people to have memorable experiences by seeing streets, buildings, objects and places in a more interesting and meaningful way. He is friendly and gets on with all ages and cannot wait to show you his city.

Ruth is an award winning tourist guide, lecturer and storyteller specialising in London’s political and social history. London born and bred, she is an International History graduate from the London School of Economics and loves sharing her knowledge through tours of First and Second World War sites in London. Before training as a guide Ruth worked in politics for 11 years including working in the House of Commons, House of Lords and in local government.
