We liked Anabel and her knowledge of food as well as the places we visited. However we feel there are several opportunities. There were 5 people on our tour and she was very difficult to hear. Walking from place to place, we were never able to hear her. While the stops provided some delicious food, this tour needs to provide more food. We have been on food tours in Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, and Dublin. London, by far, provided the least amount of food. Finally, for a 3 hour tour, it would be good to plan a toilet break. Last year we did a Context tour of the Tower of London which was fabulous. This tour was overall a disappointment.
Tour was great and camelia was so informative. We were the only ones on the tour and she handles our many questions so well. She’s perfectly suited to give a tour like this. I was with our daughter this time but my husband and I have gotten into the habit of taking food tours and we learn so much. We also had a context tour in Budapest st the beginning of June. It was a Jewish quartier tour with greta l. Also great. Thanks!
Great history explained by Annabel. Title of tour should be, “Come full and leave hungry.” After paying over $500 for tour and $60 in tasting charge, I felt it was NOT a good value. We tasted: one Scottish egg, I small cheese tasting, 3 small chocolates, 3 gelato.
