Notre Dame Tour Paris
Trace the Rise of Gothic Paris on a 3-Hour Architecture Tour with a Local Expert
Step into the heart of medieval Paris with a scholar-led Notre Dame tour that brings to life the city’s most iconic monuments. Over the course of three hours, you’ll uncover the architectural genius, symbolism, and history behind these Gothic masterpieces, and understand how they shaped the spiritual and political core of France.
Led by a trained art historian, historian, or local storyteller, this walking tour offers more than just historical facts: it’s a journey into the very bones of the city, tracing the evolution of Gothic architecture while revealing the resilience and beauty of the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral, reopening after the devastating 2019 fire.
Can You Tour Notre Dame Cathedral?
Yes, Notre Dame reopened to the public in June 2025, and this Context tour includes a visit to the interior. Although the bell towers and crypt remain closed, you’ll get a detailed exterior overview before entering the nave with your expert to learn about its sculptural program, rose windows, and vaulted ceilings. While we cannot offer skip-the-line entry, wait times are typically short and will be used to introduce the site’s rich history and design.
