Sites Visited

• St. Mark’s Basilica – Venice’s most iconic church, knows as the “Golden Church” for the extensive mosaics of the interior. If you’d prefer to focus only on San Marco, just let your guide know at the beginning of the tour or leave us a note at checkout, we’ll be more than happy to adjust the itinerary.
• Pala d’Oro – A golden altar screen covered in enamel and precious stones.
• Terraces and Bronze Horses – Rooftop views and the famous bronze horses looted in the Crusades.
• San Zaccaria Church – A lesser-known church with deep ties to the Doges, Venice’s ancient rulers.
• Sunken Crypt of San Zaccaria – A rare underground crypt, partly flooded by the tides.

Logistics

• Some of the venues visited in this tour have strict dress code. Dresses and shorts must be below knee level, and shoulders must be covered (zip-on jackets or scarves are acceptable).
• Please communicate with our team in the “Additional Details” box when booking. Letting us know more about your group’s interests allows us to match you with the best guide. 
• We have planned scheduled breaks for restroom use and moments to rest. 
• If you have any specific mobility needs or concerns, please inform us at the time of booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
• Please note that the older part of San Zaccaria is currently undergoing restoration works. This won't impact your tour but might partially limit the view of both architecture/frescoes and the Gothic polyptychs.

• The tour price includes pre-purchased skip-the-line tickets, granting you access to St. Mark's Basilica, the Pala D'Oro, and the St. Mark's Museum. 
• Your Context guide will have your tickets ready on the day of the tour. Please note that for security reasons and crowd control, there may be a brief wait in a designated line.
• Important: All guests must supply their full name and date of birth that matches a valid ID at the time of the booking. Should you fail to provide these, your reservation will be canceled. Please note that a photo ID is required to visit the St. Marks Basilica.

• For larger groups, the venue may require the use of headsets to ensure you can hear the guide clearly. If this is the case, a "Headset Fee" will be added to your order. 
• If you prefer to use headsets for a smaller group for a more immersive experience, please email us in advance, and we will arrange them for you.
