This is a wonderful tour and our favorite thing we did in Kyoto. We found it difficult to get our heads around geisha culture, and the main street in Gion is an overcrowded tourist mess. Our wonderful guide Marcin took us away from the crush; we couldn't believe we had just walked a couple of blocks to find a quiet, peaceful street where we were able to catch glimpses of maiko (apprentice geisha) and geiko (the real deal) going to work. Marcin taught us so much and the two hours flew by.
