Weaving together the Accademia (home to the David) with several other sites, including the artist’s boyhood home, our Michelangelo Seminar walking tour presents this complex artist in the context of the city that shaped him.
Tuscan Cuisine, Wine, and Family
Along with our extensive collection of well-designed food and wine tours within Florence, we are thrilled to now be accompanying groups out of the city on our Tuscany Family Food Tour. Specially designed for families, this day in the Chianti Rufina will explore a local vineyard and farm where you will gain firsthand knowledge of local Italian food culture.
Support Locals on our Traditional Artisans Tour
Florentine craftsmen have produced handmade goods for generations of kings and queens, princes and noblewomen and continue to this day, mostly in the area known as the Oltrarno ("on the other side of the Arno"). Explore this area and it's "Made in Italy" tradition with our local expert. A portion of your booking fee for this walk is donated to the Context Foundation for Sustainable Travel which, among other things, supports an apprenticeship program for the artisans of the Oltrarno.
Explore the Treasures of the Uffizi Gallery
The Uffizi Gallery is, perhaps, the greatest collection of Renaissance and Mannerist artworks in the world. Discover more about about its treasures with our scholar-led walking tour, Arte Firenze, as our docent brings masterpieces by Da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo and Giotto to life.
