Wine and France are inextricably intertwined. A thread in the fabric of French life and culture, wine has helped to shape France's history, gastronomy, and the urban landscape, and like France itself, French wine has evolved throughout the ages. On this 2.5 hour French wine discovery, we'll discuss the evolution of wine in France through a melding of history, the wine-making process, food and wine pairings, current trends, and tasting techniques while enjoying four different French wines.

Meeting in the 12th district of Paris, near the Aligre Market, our walk and tasting will take us to three locations. We'll start at a traditional bar à vin where we'll taste two classic French white wines. We'll learn about the dégustation, the tasting, and we'll explore the history of wine in France and its particular importance in Paris.

We'll then head to a charming Paris bistro and further the discussion while tasting two French red wines. Here we'll also enjoy a plate of fromage or charcuterie
