Our Approach to Traveling Safely

We want to travel just as much as you, trust us. But if you’re hesitating due to concerns about your personal health or “getting the full experience”, you’re not alone. At Context, we have a safety first policy. We are closely monitoring the course of the pandemic in all regions in which we operate, and are only offering tours where visitors are permitted and the conditions are safe. Our global team of staff members and vendors appreciates the cooperation of the Context community in adhering to our updated safety guidelines (listed below). Our tours have always been and continue to be geared towards small parties, which provides an unmatched learning experience while also ensuring social distance.

If you’re ready to travel, know that you’ll be in good hands. If you’re still on the fence, we understand. In the meantime, check out our virtual tours and interactive seminars at Context Learning – guaranteed to inspire your next adventure.

How we’re keeping our community of clients, experts, and service providers safe

We’ve instituted the following guidelines for in person tours. These guidelines take into account recommendations from leading experts including the CDC, WHO, and global travel associations. We are proud to adhere to TourCare, a set of health and sanitization guidelines designed by tourism’s leading associations specifically for tour operator members. Context is also aligned with the Safe Travels protocols outlined by the WTTC as well as ATTA's COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines, developed in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic.

  • Pre-tour attestation that any entry and in-country requirements will be met including any "green" passes; that there has been no known exposure to someone who has shown COVID symptoms or received a positive COVID test in the prior 7 days (including self); and that travelers are displaying zero symptoms, however mild
  • Face masks are to be worn in compliance with local government and individual business/venue policies, and always when in enclosed or indoor spaces, including in vehicles.
  • Social distancing should be followed whenever possible
  • Vaccinations are strongly recommended (CDC guidance here)
  • Stay home if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have recently tested positive for COVID, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms or a positive test
  • Keeping informed of global developments is driving our decisions on where to operate and we will communicate updates with you promptly.
