Context Walks LLC Online Terms of Service
As we have watched the global pandemic unfold since early days in January, we at Context have been hard at work supporting our longtime and loyal network of clients, travel advisors, and experts. You can read more on our approach here.
Due to the uncertainty around travel and the need to safeguard individual and community health and safety, we made the decision this spring to cancel all tours through July 31, 2020 and temporarily suspend taking all new bookings.
Though we continue to maintain a watchful eye on local restrictions and outbreaks, our tours for August 1 and beyond are still expected to run as planned in most destinations. We have also started taking new bookings again for dates beyond August 1, 2020. For those with existing bookings in August, we will re-confirm with you to ensure you still plan to tour with us. If you do need to cancel, our standard approach is to provide a 100% credit to your Context account, which does not expire and can be used anywhere we serve.
Our thoughts go out to all those impacted by this ongoing pandemic, as so many of us have been. And we eagerly anticipate hosting guests on our tours once again.
Like so many of our peers in the travel and other hospitality industries, we keep a close eye on the ever-evolving situation and will continue to do so. In light of the sustained pandemic and its impact on our ability to operate tours, we are in a position of force majeure as outlined in our standard terms and conditions. We've added more information about what this means below.
The above terms apply to all cancellations, regardless of service date - including for last-minute cancellations made within 7 days of service AND for advance cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the original date of service.
Updated Tour Booking & Payment Process
Given the lingering uncertainty of when travel will again be possible, we have similarly changed our process on new tour bookings. We are still delighted to plan with you and to provisionally confirm any tours you’d like to go ahead with. For now, we will wait to process any payments on new tour bookings until it is clearer that travel to and movement within that destination will be possible and safe during the dates requested. Unlike before, your tour(s) will still be reserved even without payment; we will simply not process any advance payments until it is clear the tour will be able to run safely. For our new virtual / online experiences, we are still able to process payment immediately given the lack of safety and travel concerns!
Have further questions?
Of course you do! We’re doing our best to field them each day and remain committed to supporting you as we all adapt to these new challenges. We are currently prioritizing questions about travel planned in April and May 2020. If you are traveling outside of that time, please know that we may be slower than usual to respond. For now, email is our preferred method.
We’re also trying to make it easier for you to get answers to your questions without having to contact us. Namely:
We remain committed to connecting curious travelers with our network of experts the world over, whether through traditional in-person tours or new and innovative virtual offerings. We thank you for your loyalty and continued support and look forward to seeing you soon!
