Context Travel Promotions & Sales Terms and Conditions

These Promotion Terms and Conditions (“Promotion Terms”) govern all promotional offers, discount codes, sales, and related marketing campaigns offered by Context Travel (“we,” “us,” or “our”) on contexttravel.com (the “Site”). By participating in any promotion or redeeming any discount, you agree to be bound by these Promotion Terms in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Eligibility and Scope
Promotions apply only to bookings made directly on contexttravel.com. Bookings made through third-party or partner websites are not eligible.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions are open to all customers worldwide. We may, at our discretion, limit eligibility to certain countries or user groups for specific campaigns.
Welcome offers are limited to first-time customers and may not be reused. A “first-time customer” is defined as an individual who has not previously completed any booking or purchase of any Context Travel product or service using the same name, payment method, or email address. We may request reasonable verification where necessary to prevent misuse.
Referral and bundle offers are available as described on the Site and are subject to these terms.
Exclusions
Promotions and discount codes cannot be combined with any other offer, code, or promotion.
Discounts and promotional pricing do not apply to:
- Gift cards
- Semi-private tours
- Multi-day tours
For clarity, “semi-private tours,” “multi-day tours,” and other product categories excluded from promotions are defined as shown on the relevant product pages on contexttravel.com. Venue tickets, reservation fees, taxes, and service charges are excluded from promotional discounts.
Discounts cannot be applied to existing bookings, even if the tour or service date has not yet occurred.
Promotional Periods
Each promotion specifies its own start and end date, typically running for several days or weeks. All times are stated in Eastern Time (ET) unless otherwise indicated.
Promotions are valid only during the published promotional window and will not be honored retroactively. Customers may cancel and rebook under a promotional offer where permitted under our standard cancellation policy and subject to availability at the time of rebooking.
Context Travel reserves the right to introduce blackout periods or modify timelines for future campaigns.
Discount Structure
Promotions may offer either a fixed percentage discount or a tiered discount (for example, 15% off one tour and 20% off two or more tours).
Minimum spend or minimum tour requirements, if applicable, will be clearly indicated in the promotional materials.
Discounts apply only to the base tour price, defined as the advertised cost of the tour itself, excluding taxes, service charges, venue tickets, reservation fees, and any third-party costs.
Example: In a tour listed at $300 plus $30 in museum tickets and $20 in service fees, only the $300 is eligible for a promotional discount.
Referral, Bundle, and Welcome Offers
- Referral Discounts: Available year-round and governed by the specific referral program rules shown on the Site.
- Bundle Offers: Available only during select promotional periods. Requirements (e.g., number of tours or destinations) are stated in the promotion.
- Welcome Codes: Valid only for first-time bookings made under a new customer account or email address. Codes must be entered during checkout and cannot be retroactively applied to previous or in-progress bookings.
Misuse and Right to Revoke
Fraudulent use or abuse includes, but is not limited to:
- creating multiple accounts to bypass new-customer or welcome-code restrictions
- manipulating referral rewards
- automated or bulk redemption activity
- use of invalid or unauthorized codes
We may cancel any affected booking where such activity is detected.
Cancellations and Refunds
Our standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings, including those made during promotions.
If a booking made as part of a bundle or tiered promotion is cancelled, the remaining items will be re-priced at the standard, non-promotional rate, and any refund will be calculated accordingly.
Changes to Promotions
We may withdraw, modify, or suspend a promotion if required for legal, technical, or operational reasons, including pricing errors, system failures, or issues with third-party suppliers.
Any such change will apply only to redemptions not yet completed at the time the change is made. Completed bookings will not be affected.
Errors and Inaccuracies
We may correct any typographical, clerical, or obvious pricing errors relating to a promotion. If such an error affects a booking, we will notify you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Context Travel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss not reasonably foreseeable, arising from participation in a promotion or use of a discount code.
Nothing in these Promotion Terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Governing Law
These Promotion Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
For customers outside the United States, this governing law clause applies to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence, which shall prevail where they cannot be waived.

Updates to These Terms
We may update these Promotion Terms from time to time. Changes will apply only to future promotions and will not affect bookings already completed.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
