Germany & Northern Europe Private and Small Group Walking Tours

Experience Europe’s cool northern lands
Germany and the countries of Northern Europe have played a major role in the continent and on the world stage. From German philosophers to Swedish playwrights to Dutch artists, their collective contribution to arts, culture, and politics has been significant.

Visit these northern countries to see more than just their heritage. Their unique locales, which range from smartly engineered canals to Alpine forests to Nordic archipelagos, highlight the region’s stunning natural beauty. And the many distinctive historical buildings, churches, and monuments—including many UNESCO World Heritage Sites—still found in many towns and cities help us get a sense of these countries’ long and storied past.

It was a nice overview of Amsterdam and its history. Recommend for someone interested in the history versus a walking tour. Wanted it to help find our way around but that wasn’t the focus.
Jason knows Berlin and its history as well as any college professor, maybe better. He is a wonderful ambassador, host, and tour guide, putting his all into the job. Raised in the US, has lived in Europe for decades, mostly in Germany. As such, he has a unique perspective on German history and culture. We were a small group and peppered him with questions for hours; the breadth of his knowledge is impressive. He has detailed information on German art, architecture, food, culture, life in Berlin during WWII, post-war life in both East and West Berlin and more. Equally important, he is pleasant to be around, helpful, and generous with his time. It’s wonderful to spend the day with someone who enjoys his job and the people he meets.
