Sense of Tuscany Wine Tasting

Tuscan wine is rightfully renowned throughout the world for its taste, depth and quality. The grapes that are grown in Tuscany have come to be some of the most prized of their varieties, which have allowed Tuscan wineries to produce world-class wine. The region also boasts a rich viticulture history. During the Sense of Tuscany Wine Tasting, we'll discuss both the historical and contemporary production of Tuscan wine, all while tasting four local varieties of reds and whites with our wine expert, a licensed sommelier with a vast experience in wine tastings.

We'll divide our time together between two enoteche, traditional Italian wine bars, tasting four different Tuscan wines, paired with light snacks of local gastronomic products, such as assorted salamis and cheeses. At our first stop, we'll taste two white wines, including Tuscany's only white DOCG wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and an international variety produced in Tuscany. At the second enoteca, we'll taste two Tuscan reds;

Our docent will annotate the experience, touching on themes such as how wine-making techniques affect the final product, how to taste and pair wine with food, along with a discussion of the wineries whose wines we'll be tasting.

The Sense of Tuscany Wine Tasting aims at melding an informative, didactic session with a pleasing, sensorial experience. What would be a better way to wind down after a day of strenuous sight seeing than with a glass of great wine?
