Staying in an apartment can be one of the best ways to get to know a city, however, it can also be a little daunting to arrive in an unknown city and area. This special orientation chat and stroll, led by a Context docent, is perfect for visitors renting an apartment and aims to help acquaint you with Paris and in particular, the area around where you are staying. You will be met on the day of your arrival by a Context docent, a resident of Paris and expert on the ins and outs of the city. We will first learn about the lay out of Paris, find your apartment on the map and go over any specific questions. We will then head outside for a stroll around the vicinity, our docent will about the history of the area, stopping to talk about any special buildings/monuments or going over how the metro or velib bikes work. Along our way, our docent will point out various sites including any nearby markets, great cafes or where we can find the best baguette in the area.
