What a terrific day. Danijelia was phenomenal! First, because it was extremely hot but we decided to change our itinerary, and started later to reduce our time in the hot afternoon sun. Danijelia was perfectly flexible, and a great communicator, so it was no problem to make a change. During our tour, she was upbeat, engaging, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. She knows everything about everything, regarding Croatian culture and history, Who knew the word quarantine was derived from merchants having to isolate for 40 days in Dubrovnik before entering the city during the years after the Black plague? Just a tidbit of knowledge – but Danijelia was full of them. We finished our tour of Dubrovnik by walking on top of the city walls at sunset, and it was magical. Afterwards, while enjoying a beer in a street side cafe, we exchanged contact info, and will definitely stay in touch. If you are going to Dubrovnik, request Danijelia. You will not be disappointed.
