Founded in 1718, New Orleans started out as the capital of French Louisiana, before becoming a part of the United States in 1803. The city’s centuries-long history is rich with stories of tragedy and triumph as a center of collected cultures and diverse human experiences. New Orleans’ many historic districts are host to distinct architectural features from Creole and Greek revivalism to Victorian and Colonial styles. Further marked by Creole and Cajun fare, the meandering musical notes of jazz, and transcendental voodoo spirituality, New Orleans is more of an experience than just a destination. Capture the spirit of New Orleans while exploring the city with Context’s private tours, covering anything from history to jazz to Afro-Creole heritage.

MARY was very knowledgeable as well as being thoughtful of my hearing impairment. She went above and Beyond in terms of time and the pacing was just right. She gave us a very helpful recommendation about having dinner at Muriel’s which we enjoyed very much.
Very Knowledgeable guide. Was willing to go slow though very difficult to hear her when walking as the group was spead out. Understandable as it was a walking tour. Possibly stop more and explain to the entire group and to let people catch up.
