Ante was very knowledgeable, knew the best places to take pictures and wove history, archeology and building design into a fascinating 2000 year story about the region.

Route Detail
After exploring the palace’s nooks and crannies, we will then reach Peristyle Square. Taking a moment to appreciate its grandiosity, we then continue onto Diocletian's mausoleum within the Cathedral of Saint Domnius. It is here where our guide will explain the significance of the Cathedral, which continues as one of the oldest continually used cathedrals globally. After visiting Diocletian’s Palace, we continue past the Golden Gate on the north side of the Palace and onto Split’s Old Town. By the end of the tour, as we trace through Split’s Old Town, we will finish with a greater sense of the importance of the Roman legacy in Split, its surrounding area, and its ongoing legacy in Croatia today.

Don’t just take our word for it
Our family very much enjoyed the tour. Ante was very knowledgeable and informative not only of the historical sites but the surrounding area as well, he also identified the differences between the archaeological styles so that we could identify them on our own.He presented the tour in a nice relaxed style. Would highly recommend this tour and Ante himself. Hvala
We enjoyed spending a morning with Ante.
