COVID-19: Context Tours Safety Criteria

After over a year of normal life being on pause, many of us are anxious to be out, about, and traveling once again. And here at Context, we’re so excited to get back to leading tours in person! At the same time, our highest priority is the safety of our customers, our experts, and the communities in which we all live and operate.

To that end, and to promote safe touring, we’ve instituted the following guidelines for in person tours. These guidelines take into account recommendations from leading experts including the CDC, WHO, and global travel associations. We are proud to adhere to TourCare, a set of health and sanitization guidelines designed by tourism’s leading associations specifically for tour operator members. Context is also aligned with the Safe Travels protocols outlined by the WTTC as well as ATTA's COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines, developed in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic.

This is a living document. We will keep this page updated as national restrictions and public health guidelines evolve.

We adhere to all local and venue rules and regulations.

Context operates tours only in jurisdictions where touring is either explicitly authorized or where groups of up to 10 individuals are permitted to gather. We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour if regulations change quickly or if we are unable to procure tickets given occupancy limits.

We are leading only private tours - no mixed groups.

To minimize risk, we are not currently offering group tours. We continue to offer our tours privately, and have priced most of our tours to be more accessible for smaller groups of 2-3 guests. As an added benefit, going private means the tour can be personalized to your specific knowledge and interests - something many of our private clients have come to love.

We require clients, guides, and vehicle suppliers to adhere to our COVID safety standards.
