About Blanche
Blanche studied Art History at the University of Brussels (Belgium), specializing in Renaissance and 17th century art. After working as a librarian in Rome and then as a functionary at the Belgian Embassy to the Holy See, she is now a Vatican guide and a translator. She is fluent in French, Italian and Dutch, and has translated many books about the Vatican collections from Italian to French, including: The Mosaics in St Peter, The Vatican Library, The Restorations of the Cappella Paolina, and The Vatican Necropolis. She is also a guide for the Vatican Patrons. She has taught at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) where she gave lectures about the Papal Commissions and the History of Italian Gardens. As Rome is her favourite city, she is passionate about conveying the message of beauty that surrounds her here. She is a consultant for the Colonna Gallery and for Villa Medici, the French Academy in Rome.
