Born and raised in the ancient medina of Fes, Chakib grew up surrounded by the city’s stories, traditions, and vibrant daily life. As the son of a tour guide, he discovered the medina from an early age, learning its winding streets, hidden corners, and legends almost by heart. Today, Chakib continues that family tradition, sharing the city he knows so intimately with curious travelers.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hotel Management and more than 20 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, Chakib brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal connection to Fes. Speaking English, French, and Arabic, he enjoys looking beyond the major monuments to explore the cultural details that make the city unique, from local rituals and craftsmanship to food, traditions, and everyday life in the medina.
