Dave is a New York-based photojournalist. Raised in nearby Stamford, Connecticut, he moved to the neighborhood of Morningside Heights to attend Columbia University (originally studying engineering, eventually, English literature) and has lived near his alma mater ever since.

For more than 20 years, Dave has been exploring lesser-known cuisine throughout the five boroughs of the city under his social media handle, Eating In Translation. His writing and photos have also appeared in The Art of Eating, Culinary Backstreets, The New York Times, Savoring Gotham: A Food Lover's Companion to New York City, and many other publications.
