Maj Horn
Maj is an artist who lives and works in Copenhagen.
She never stops enjoying walking around the city, experiencing the ever-changing atmospheres and cultural events, and observing how the various seasons affect public spaces and architecture. Her interests are wide-ranging, covering art, architecture, green spaces, and cultural pop-up events.
She has over 10 years' experience working on art projects that explore urban spaces, landscapes and community building. She works with performance, installation, and socially engaged art in Denmark and internationally.
She holds a Master's degree from the Funen Art Academy in Odense, Denmark (2009–14). To gain a deeper understanding of biodiversity, ecosystem dynamics, and landscapes, she also completed postgraduate courses in Nature Interpretation in Theory and Practice at the University of Copenhagen (2023–24).
Alongside her artistic practice, Maj works as a project manager developing art and culture policy. Her main focus is on making the arts more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable. This has given her comprehensive knowledge of the Danish culture field. It has also given her an understanding of what's currently at stake.
