Michelle Ziling O.

Arty Food Historian in Paris
About Michelle Ziling

Michelle has been calling Paris home for over a decade. Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing, Michelle worked as a marketeer in Australia and Hong Kong, before hopelessly falling in love with the City of Lights. This was when she quit her 9-5 job and never looked back.

She was professionally trained in French Pâtisserie at a prestigious culinary institute, survived a Michelin kitchen and started her own small business, Sweet Secrets of Paris, curating arty food tours around Paris in 2018.

Her artistic sensibilities led her to Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris, where she deepened her love for art history. Today, she became an officially licensed French museum guide, volunteers at Notre-Dame Cathedral since its reopening, works as one of the official guides at the Ateliers-Museum of Chana Orloff, a 20th century French sculptor, leads culinary tours as well as cultural & museum tours here at Context Travel.

As a proud stepmother of two adolescents (!), Michelle is a family-friendly expert with solid experience adapting both food tours and museum tours for the younger audiences. She enjoys creating fun, engaging activities for children & teenagers of all ages. Please kindly advise in advance the age group(s) of children in your group - she will prepare a little surprise for them!

Always going above and beyond, she strives to share with you the most memorable arty & culinary experience possible, helping you celebrate the very special occasions with your loved ones. Know that you have a friend in Paris!
