Moritz was born and raised in Munich. He studied history, politics and literature in Munich and Venice, Italy. After graduating from LMU München he started to work as historian with a focus on the culture of memory and in political education for the City of Munich, Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, political foundations and, as of 2018, in the Bavarian Parliament. Moritz Kienast has travelled all continents except Antartica, but Munich is where his heart is.
