Serena was born in Hong Kong, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese. Due to her great interest in communicating and interacting with people, after she obtained her BA in Marketing management, she entered the exhibition industry, organizing international exhibitions and trade fairs. After that she moved to Japan and started her career in the tourism industry, working for the tourist information center in Kyoto. She found Kyoto, the former imperial capital, is an incredibly inspiring place for her. She is fascinated by the various traditional Japanese arts, so she decided to dedicate her career and passion to the traditional Japan. Her main goal as a guide is to provide a platform for cultural exchange, to satisfy enthusiastic learner’s appetite for deeper engagement with authentic traditional Japan. Currently she is organizing and leading Japanese sake tour, Uji tea farm visiting tour, Gion tour, tea ceremony, kimono wearing, Japanese dancing experience program etc. She loves wearing kimono and she can perform Japanese dancing, Japanese harp and host tea ceremony. During her free time she also enjoy learning different languages, drinking sake and singing karaoke.
