Maya was born in Morocco and developed her interest for different cultures, languages and history, due to her parents working as diplomats in North Africa and Europe. After graduating from the American International School in Vienna, she worked free-lance with incentive groups, while studying History at the University of Vienna. When she is not sharing her passion for Modern History, Art and Music, as a lecturer or licensed guide, she explores the globe.
