Taraneh delights in sharing Norwegian cultural history, food traditions, and art with curious travelers. She is the author of multiple travel guidebooks, including "DK Eyewitness Norway" and "DK Eyewitness Denmark" with Penguin Random House. She is also the author of "This is Norway" — a beautifully illustrated adventure compendium of fascinating, weird, and wonderful cultural knowledge — published by Cappelen Damm. Her books have been translated into multiple languages and can be found in bookstores worldwide.

Taraneh holds an MSc in Economic History from London School of Economics and Political Science and studied History and Art History at the University of Virginia. In a past life, she was both a restaurant reviewer and a pastry chef. As Rudyard Kipling wrote, “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten."
