Born and raised in Glasgow, Dr Tom Horne studied history at the University of Oxford before working as a researcher on historical documentaries for the BBC. Having excavated at sites from Shetland to Ukraine, Tom now works for History Hit - Little Dot as a writer and producer; as a tour guide in Sweden and Denmark for Brightwater Holidays; as an author of academic and popular Viking publications, and as a Museum Assistant and tour guide at the Govan Stones museum in Glasgow. Further to his degree in Ancient and Modern History at Oxford, Tom has an MLitt (Distinction) and a Ph.D. in archaeology from the University of Glasgow.
