We had a great tour with Jon on our first full day in Seoul. Jon was the perfect tour guide for us on our first day! He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Korean history and culture. He had a laid-back approach, but he also kept us on track so that we could see everything on our itinerary. My sons, 26 and 27, enjoyed his company as well. I would highly recommend this tour company, and specifically Jon for a tour guide.

Our Street Food Tour was fabulous. Jon was the perfect host and brought us to the market, plus some off-the-beaten-path places as well. My husband and I, and our 3 adult children, really enjoyed the evening. Jon was the perfect host and definitely had a passion for Korean food.

Jon was incredibly warm and knowledgable. We got to try some incredible food we would NEVER have discovered on our own, and learned a lot about Seoul's culture and history in the process. He really went the extra mile to ensure our family had a fantastic experience, and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul!

Seoul sits along the Han River in the northwest of South Korea, where mountains and waterways shaped the development of the Korean peninsula’s political and cultural center. The city became the capital during the Joseon dynasty in the late 14th century, when royal palaces, Confucian institutions, and city walls defined its urban landscape. For centuries, Seoul served as the heart of Korea’s governance, scholarship, and cultural life.

Today, Seoul blends historic landmarks with a modern global metropolis. Royal palaces, traditional neighborhoods, and temples coexist alongside contemporary architecture, technology, and global cultural influence. Context Travel’s Seoul tours are led by historians and cultural experts who help travelers understand how dynastic history, philosophical traditions, and rapid modernization shaped Korea’s capital.
