From there, you will walk to Porta Borsari, the Roman gate where, according to Matteo Bandello, street confrontations occurred that Shakespeare would later transform into the tragic deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt.
The tour continues to Piazza dei Signori, where the statue of Dante provides a literary lens for understanding Verona’s cultural and civic life, including early mentions of the Montague and Capulet families.

Can we see Juliet’s Balcony?
Juliet’s Balcony is not typically included in the itinerary, as the area is often very crowded and the site itself is not historically authentic. That said, we can let the guide know of your interest, and they will point it out while passing by. Entry to Juliet’s House is not included, but it can easily be visited independently after the tour.
