Alba was born in Sciacca a few miles from the Valley of Temples in Agrigento. She is an art historian and a goldsmith. She took her MA degree at the University of Palermo and she specialized in Old Sicilian Jewelry, studying styles and marks of jewels from shrines and private collections. Her main interests include crafts and traditions in Sicily as well as archaeology. She is a member of cultural associations working for knowledge and promotion of the historic-artistic heritage and for the experiential tourism development.
