Anne-Claire Veluire has been in the Czech Republic for 10 years. She arrived in 1999 for a university exchange and decided to focus her further studies on the history of Central Europe. After earning her masters' degree in Paris on the politics of post-communist Europe, she started a PhD on the history of dissidence and musical underground in former Czechoslovakia. She is interested in Czech culture, Czech history and Czech politics; fields which she explored whilst working for several years at Radio Prague, an internationally broadcast of Czech radio station.
