Mayumi is an expert in Japanese art history with M.A. from Waseda University. She has been living in Tokyo for four decades and knows about the city through museums. She lived in the USA as a teenager for two years, then decided to study about Japan to deepen her view as a Japanese. She is happy to share her Japanese point of view with clients.

Her speciality is art, related to Zen Buddhism, and is teaching Japanese art history at universities in Tokyo. She loves paintings and is passionate about helping people (including Japanese) understand Japan through history, aesthetic, religion and appreciation of each piece of art. She also enjoys learning from her students and clients. (She loves Japanese sweets.)
