Stefan grew up in Västerås (about 108 km or one hour by train from Stockholm). As a 5-year-old, he came to the capital for the first time and immediately fell in love with the red little old wooden houses on Södermalm. After completing his studies at home, Stefan traveled to the wide world at the age of 21 to improve his language skills and to work with culture and tourism. It was 24 years abroad and as a tour guide in the countries of India, Israel and Italy. At the age of 50, Stefan returns to Sweden and trains as a tour guide and producer. For a few years now, Stefan has been an authorized tourist guide in both Stockholm and Uppsala. For the last 7 years, Stefan has run his own company that organizes city walks in Mälardalen for a Swedish target group. In addition to my background in tourism and sustainability, his interests are architecture, archaeology, art, food & drink and hiking. Working as an authorized tourist guide means constantly updating yourself and learning new knowledge through further education and courses.
