Yael is originally from Jerusalem and did her university studies in philosophy in Tel Aviv. She is now focusing on Jewish philosophy and completing her dissertation through the University of Potsdam. For the past 5 years she has been dividing her time between Tel Aviv and Berlin but has recently moved to Berlin permanently.

She previously worked for 8 years at the Yad Vashem museum and memorial site in Israel as a guide, teacher, and facilitator.
