Our tour with Judith was lovely! Lucerne is a beautiful city and she gave us a perfect introduction to its history, its sites and its treats (ice cream and chocolate!). She was particularly kind and engaging to our 12 year old daughter, who left saying that she loved the tour - specifically because of Judith. Thank you and we’re looking forward to our next Context experience!

My Zürich chocolate tour with Yuliana was fantastic. It covered so much more than just great chocolates. It included some history of Zurich and Switzerland which was quite fascinating. The chocolates I had were wonderful and were made by small producers that you really can’t find elsewhere. Of course I had to buy some to bring home to friends.
Judith was very knowledgeable about Zurich, the sites and its history. She is also very friendly and personable. We very much enjoyed learning about her background as well. It was an exceptionally hot day and Judith took care to be sure we refilled our water bottles and walked in the shade as much as possible. We enjoyed our special treat of ice cream. Judith’s suggestion of the Landesmuseum after our tour was worthwhile. She walked us over to the museum so we didn’t get lost.
Switzerland Tours
Switzerland is often imagined through landscapes first: lakes, peaks, railways, alpine villages, and clean-lined cities set against dramatic natural backdrops. But the country’s deeper story lies in how those landscapes shaped daily life, trade, politics, food, design, and identity. Zurich reveals Switzerland through finance, chocolate, art, and carefully managed urban life. Geneva connects Reformation history to diplomacy, humanitarian law, and global institutions. Basel sits at a crossroads of trade, religion, museums, and river culture. Lucerne offers wooden bridges, mountain views, and access to alpine traditions, while Bern brings political history, medieval streets, and a slower civic rhythm. The best Switzerland tours help travelers move beyond scenery into a clearer understanding of how this compact country became so globally influential. Context Travel’s Switzerland tours are led by historians, food experts, architecture specialists, local scholars, and cultural Experts who connect what you see to the systems, traditions, and ideas behind it.
