Truly enjoyed our day. Barend was wonderful. He is so knowledgeable and pleasant as a person and guide. We had a very nice day with him and are so glad we had the overall experience.

We had a fantastic experience touring the Rijksmuseum with Maya, who made the visit engaging and enjoyable for our whole family. Her ability to tailor the tour for both of our children, despite their gap in ages (7yrs and 19mos) was impressive. Maya was warm, incredibly well-researched and prepared, and brought the museum's art and history to life in a way that captivated our kids (and my husband and I!). A highlight were the incredibly thoughtful gifts she gave our children at the end of the tour, which were based on their interests that we shared with her: coloring pencils and a little bunny inspired by Vermeer's "The Milkmaid." This special touch made the tour even more memorable and helped our kids connect with the art. Maya's passion for art and her engaging storytelling kept everyone interested and made complex concepts easy to understand. Her enthusiasm, patience, and expertise made our visit both fun and educational. We highly, highly recommend Maya for anyone visiting the Rijksmuseum, especially families with children. Most engaging day that exceeded all expectations. Genial and very knowledgeable guide allowed us to best use limited time to focus on key highlights. Experienced educator and artist he brought a lot to our time. He totally clued into our fairly informed level of knowledge and our interests.
