Jonathan was a great tour leader. He took us through a wonderful exposition and review of Argentine history as we strolled beautiful neighborhoods, His discussion placed Evita and Juan in the flow of that history from the fight for independence to the late twentieth century. The cemetery portion was more than just viewing Evita’s resting place but also served as a recap of what we learned on the walk.

Buenos Aires Politics Tour: Evita and Perón
Unpack class, power, and memory in Recoleta and Retiro
We came to Buenos Aires with little knowledge of its colorful history, and this tour allowed us to see it through a totally new lens and gave us great perspective to carry with us through the rest of our visit. [Our guide was] both delightfully friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job of putting sites in their historical context, and we so appreciated that she gave us a great overview of Argentina’s history, in addition to that of Buenos Aires specifically, and Peronism.

Don’t just take our word for it
Buenos Aires Politics Tour This tour was, perhaps, the best day of our entire holiday! Argentina is a young country compared to Europe, and has a complicated - and often violent - history. Natalia not only explained how Argentina arrived from independence to today, but also wrapped the major events with stories of the impact on the people, both peasants and the aristocracy. She made the history come alive.
Silvia is an outstanding guide. She is well educated in multiple fields, speaks English fluently, and is knowledgeable about the tour subject matter. We enjoyed her company and learned a lot from her.
