Estela is an EXCELLENT guide! So knowledgeable about the history, architecture, art and even food of the Palace and its surroundings in Sintra -- we had a terrific day with her! I would *highly* recommend her to anyone wanting to explore this part of Portugal!
Raquel E. Is a rockstar amongst guides. She is knowledgeable, passionate about Portugal, and intuitively capable of constructing a fascinating narrative. Really, who could ask for more?
We had a great day with Ian in Sintra. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our visit. Ian took great care to avoid the crowds and take us only to what he viewed as Sintra highlights rather than the most publicized destinations. We saw and learned so much in 4 hours, never had to wait in any line in spite of the crowds. Ate local pastries and coffee once off the train, later got a great restaurant recommendation from Ian after the tour ended. Great fun and learned a lot as well.
