Itinerary Details
Our day of British adventure in charming central London begins with introductions near the Thames River near our first site, the historic 900-year-old Tower of London castle. Visiting the Tower, you’ll discover its vast history and many purposes it’s had across centuries, including being a royal residence, guarding the crown jewels, housing the royal mint, holding many famous prisoners, and more. As we travel back in time exploring the Tower, you’ll learn of the stories of the famous executions that happened here.
Please note: Due to venue rules, we are currently unable to guide inside some areas of the Tower of London site, including the White Tower, the Jewel House and the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula. This rule is in place until further notice. We are still able to guide in the other areas of the Tower of London site and you will be able to visit guiding-restricted areas independently.

Continuing our explorations, we’ll walk along the Thames and cross the river, before stopping for lunch at the bustling Borough Market filled with endless delicious delights and choices. Here, everyone’s senses and sights will be delighted as you explore the stalls and choose what delicious food to have. After lunch, we will walk along the South Bank, spotting the famous sites like a treasure hunt.
Re-energized, we’ll cross the Millennium Bridge and take in the city's sites, viewing London from above the Thames and seeing the exterior of the stunning St. Paul’s Cathedral, learning its historical importance. We’ll walk by Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, learning its fascinating history, and on to Tate Modern and the Millenium Bridge, finishing outside the spectacular St. Paul’s Cathedral. I want to take this tour on a Monday but I hear Borough Market is closed. Can I?
Absolutely. Even when the market stalls are closed, it's still a lively area with significant history and great options for lunch nearby.

From the booking to the post tour email making sure we didn’t need anything after being so close to the terror attacked we could have been more pleased with every aspect of the service.

We had a fantastic time with Sarah, she was so engaging and friendly, the kids loved her, she was so good about tailoring things to our interests and my son’s allergies (huge thank you to her for that!). The children are still quizzing each other on the Crown Jewels and the fates of the wives of King Henry VIII. We had a great day.
